‘কিঞ্চিত্-' সাহিত্য আৰু সাংস্কৃতিক গোষ্ঠীৰ বহুকেইটা উদ্দেশ্য আৰু লক্ষ্যৰ ভিতৰত অন্যতম হ'ল ভাৰতবর্ষ তথা উত্তৰ পূর্বাঞ্চল, সমগ্র পৃথিৱীতে অসমৰ বিভিন্ন জনগোষ্ঠীৰ মানুহৰ মাজত  উদাৰতাবাদী সাহিত্য সৃষ্টিৰ প্রচেষ্টা চলোৱাৰ লগতে পৰস্পৰৰ মাজত সম্প্রীতি আৰু বন্ধুত্বপূর্ণ বহল মানসিকতাৰ উন্নতি সাধন কৰা।'

কিছুমান মানুহ থাকে যাক একোটা সপোনে আগে আগে টানি লৈ ফুৰে, একোটা আদর্শই পিছে পিছে খেদি ফুৰে। তেনে এজন মানুহ ডাঃ মাণিক লাল ভৌমিক। কবি, লেখক, সাহিত্যিক, শিক্ষাবিদ, আইনজ্ঞ, সমাজসেবক উদাববাদী মানসিকতাৰ পৰিপুষ্ট এজন সাহিত্য সংগঠক। ‘স্টেট বেংক অফ ইণ্ডিয়া'ৰ পৰা অৱসৰপ্ৰাপ্ত পদস্থ বিষয়া। ২০০৭ চনৰ জানুৱাৰী মাহত বৰপেটাৰোড্ চহৰৰ কলহভাঙ্গাত থকা ‘মনালিছা নিকেতন' নামৰ মাণিক লাল ভৌমিকৰ নিজা বাসগৃহৰ ২য় মহলাত জন্ম হৈছিল এক মহান পবিত্র ক্ষণত ‘কিঞ্চিত' সাহিত্য সাংস্কৃতিক গোষ্ঠীৰ। মাণিক লাল উর্বব মস্তিস্ক আৰু বহল হৃদয় প্রমূখ এই গোষ্ঠীৰ জন্ম লগ্নত মই জনামতে প্ৰেৰণাদায়ী সহায়ক আছিল তেওবেই সহধর্মিনী মণিকা ভৌমিক আৰু কেইবাজনো সতীর্থ সঙ্গী, তাৰ পিছত আৰু ভালেকেইজন সাহিত্য সংস্কৃতিৰ সাধক সমাজসেৱক এই জয় যাত্রাত যোগ দিছিল। আজি ১৭ বছৰ ধৰি এই অনুষ্ঠানটো অসীম ত্যাগ, ধৈর্য্য আৰু সততাৰ ওপৰত ভিত্তি কৰি ধাৰাবাহিক ভাবে বর্তাই বখাত ডাঃ মাণিক লাল প্রমূখ্যে সকলোৰে সহায় সহযোগিতাৰ কথা উল্লেখনীয় লগতে অশেষ প্রশংসনীয়।  

বিভিন্ন গুণগত বৈশিষ্টৰে পৰিপূর্ণ ডাঃ মাণিক লাল ভৌমিক 'কিঞ্চিত'ৰ উপৰিও ‘প্রচেষ্টা' নামৰ মাহেকীয়া দ্বিভাষিক পত্রিকা এখনো নিজস্ব দৰমহাৰ পৰা আর্জিত অর্থ ব্যয় কৰি সম্পাদনা কৰিছিল- অসমীয়া, বাংলা আৰু ইংৰাজী ভাষাত সাহিত্য চর্চ্চা কৰা মাণিক লাল ইতিমধ্যে বহু কেইটা মূল্যবান গ্রন্থ প্রকাশ কৰি উলিয়াইছে- সংঘাত (বাংলা উপন্যাস), মানৱতা (একাংকী নাট), মানৱতাৰ নগ্ন মিছাইল, এন্ধাৰত এমুঠি জোনাক, লুইতৰ বুকুৰ হুমুনিয়াহবোৰ, অনুভৱৰ নিমিলা অংক আদি অসমীয়া কাব্যগ্রন্থৰ লগতে ‘মেঘ ও বৃষ্টিৰ জাৰণাল, পথে-ঘাটে’ (বাংলা কাব্যগ্রন্থ)। ইয়াৰ উপৰি একাধিক অনুবাদ গ্রন্থ প্রকাশ পাইছে, যেনে- ‘ফুল-তাৰা-নদী' ‘সমস্ত দৰজা বন্ধ হবাৰ পৰ' ‘পদক্ষেপ' আদি। তাৰ বাহিৰেও বিভিন্ন কাকত আলোচনী, মুখপাত্র, স্মৃতিগ্রন্থতো প্রায় শতাধিক প্রবন্ধ, নিবন্ধ, কবিতা, অসমীয়া, বাংলা, ইংৰাজী ভাষাত প্রকাশ পাইছে।

উচ্চ শিক্ষাত প্রায় এক ডজন ডিগ্রী ডিপ্লমাৰ অধিকাৰী ডাঃ মাণিক লাল ভৌমিক অসম চৰকাৰৰ পৰা ২০২০ চনত 'সাহিত্যিক পেঞ্চনাৰ' হিচাপে স্বীকৃতি পাই আমাৰ বৰপেটা অঞ্চলৰ অসমবাসীক নিষ্কাম কর্মৰ যে বিকল্প নাই ইয়ে প্রমাম কৰি দিলে। 'অসম কবি সম্মিলন' আৰু 'অসম সাহিত্য সেভাৰ' আজীৱন সদস্য ডাঃ ভৌমিকে বৰপেটা জিলা প্রাকৃতিক কবি সম্মিলন, অসম কবি সম্মিলন, সহাবাহু সাহিত্য সাংস্কৃতিক মঞ্চ, কেন্দ্রীয় ৰবীন্দ্র স্মৃতি মঞ্চ, নেতাজী সুভাষ বসু ভাৱনা মঞ্চ, কয়াকুছি সমন্বয় সাহিত্য গোষ্ঠী আদি অনুষ্ঠানৰ সন্মানীয় পদ অলংকৃত কৰি অহাৰ লগতে বহুকেইটা ধর্মীয়, সাংস্কৃতিক শিক্ষামূলক অনুষ্ঠানৰ লগতে সক্রিয়ভাবে জড়িত থাকি নিঃস্বার্থ সেৱা আগবঢ়াই আহিছে। এই গৰাকী উদ্যমী, ত্যাগী, উদাৰবাদী একনিষ্ঠ সাহিত্য সমাজ সেবকৰ নেতৃত্বত 'কিঞ্চিত'ৰ উত্তৰোত্তৰ উন্নতি, উৎকর্ষ সাধন হওক তাৰেই কামনাৰে--

At the very outset of today's 9th Biennial Conference of ‘Kinchit Gosthi’ I would like to extend my heartiest respect and well wishes to the hon'ble chair of the president Sri Akshay Kumar Mishra sir who is presiding over the session. Likewise, I on behalf of Kinchit Gosthi express my deep respect to all distinguished personalities present in the dais, invited guests, journalist, statesmen, electronic social media and huge number of literary and cultural lovers quietly sitting in front of me in the auditorium premise. 

As all of you know that since inception in 2007 Kinchit literary and cultural organization known as 'Kinchit Gosthi' have been rendering continuously so many literary activities along with social and cultural programme for promoting our Assamese rich culture and literature all over India which will remain as historical record in near future for the people of Assam. The very reason behind my perception is that being occupying the honorable chair of the presidentship of Kinchit Gosthi in 2019, I have come across so many exceptional, remarkable, noticeable and overall humanitarian activities has been performed by 'Kinchit Gosthi' headed by Dr. Manik lal Bhowmik, founder chief secretary of this organization since its formation in January 2007. 

Let me highlight here about a funny and interesting day. The day was 28th May 2019. We met together at Katmandu, Nepal to receive an award 'Nepal India, Dolit Moitri International Award-2019 'from Babu Jagjiban Ram Kala Sanskriti Sahitya Academy. I along with Bhowmik babu started return journey by air from Bhadrapur airport, Kathmandu to Chandrasathi airport on 30th May 2019. Arriving at Chandrasadhi airport our journey started again by taxi from airport to New Jalpaiguri station, and again NJP to GHY by train on the same day. During our journey by train I came in close contact with Bhowmik Babu and noticed his brought-out look, simplicity, social attitude, kind heartedness, history of social-cultural-literary activities continuing from 2007-2018 was unbelievable for me. A person having a dozen number of degrees in formal education sacrificing most of his leisure time before and after retirement from SBI as Manager really commendable, praiseworthy, appreciable for Assamese people. 

At last I can say that I am so grateful and feel proud myself that I could have associated luckily during return journey from Kathmandu to Guwahati, which in turn attracted me about the aims, objects and ideology of Kinchit Gosthi. As soon as Bhowmik Babu offered me to occupy the portfolio of president of Kinchit Gosthi for next 2019 because of forth coming '7th by annual conference' of the organization to be held at Sahitya Sava Bhawan, Barpeta Road lying vacant due to sudden death of ex-president late Haraballav Deka of Pathsala since last few months. I agreed to the proposal whole heartedly and accepted. 

Once again I convey my regards and good wishes to all my respected writers, journalists, awardees, guests, Sevoks, and workers associated in various committees and sub- committees of Kinchit Gosthi, school children, brothers and sisters. Thanks to Rangali Offset printers owner and employees for being delivery 'Kinchit Book 2023' special edition on Kabiguru Rabindra Nath Tagore, a big Volume consisting of seven languages- Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Hindi, Bishnupriya Manipuri, Nepali and English. Thanks to Dr. Bhowmik who devoted himself cent percent for preparation of the conference since last eight months to make today's conference a grand success leaving his valuable times and moments from time to time.
